The Jr. Miss Homestead Pageant was started in 2001 by the Miss Homestead Scholarship Foundation, Inc., as a fundraiser to help aide in the accumulation of scholarships given to The Miss Homestead Pageant contestants annually.  This fundraiser has become an annual event for young girls between the ages of 3-16 to have a chance to show their talents before competing in a  Miss America Preliminary Pageant.
